*** Second Thursday of each month - Wild and Wooly Women of Willow Wood! It's free, and you can choose 10am or 1pm... whatever time fits your schedule. If you have ever wanted to know more about stitching or playing with wool, this is a great place to come. We have door prizes, refreshments, instruction, and a whole lot of fun! RUG HOOKING SUPPLIES - We have always carried the traditional rug hooks by Mosimer, but we now carry the Oxford Rug Punch Needle, hoops, rug hooking frames, linen and wonderful ideas and patterns for you to make. Contact us about upcoming classes!
**NOTE ~Willow Wood Market has a wool strip cutter for rug hooking. If you purchase your wool at Willow Wood, you can cut it for free! Contact us for more information.
VINTAGE WOOL ~ I love the feel of old wool! I have 8x8, 1/8 and 1/4 yard cuts of old blankets that I've felted up and are ready to be used for your primitive and not so primitive projects. Some even have patches to add to their charm! I have some great samples stitched up to inspire you... The colors vary from army greens and cream to softer greens, pinks and peach.
We carry Valdani hand dyed variegated size 8 pearl cotton. The colors are gorgeous! We will still have all the wonderful solid colors of DMC, but I thought it might be fun to offer the Valdani as well.

** More wool... lots more wool! We have expanded our wool area and have hundreds of pieces and colors of wool in sizes ranging from 6"x7" to 1/4 yard pieces of our beautiful hand dyes and 8"x8" to 1 yard cuts of our mill dyed wool. As always, all of our wool is washed, dried, and ready for you to play with. Give us a call for specific colors.
** Willow Wood carries many great books on wool applique, from the very primitive by Maggie Bonanomi to traditional by Kim Diehl as well as most everything in between.
** We believe that anything that can be appliqued in cotton can have more dimension and interest if appliqued with wool!
** Our beautiful wool, cotton fabric, and samples around the shop will inspire you and I will do my best to motivate you!
***WOOLY CLASSES ~ Customized to fit your busy schedule! Get a group of friends, co~workers, or family together for a couple hours of stitching fun! Call to schedule a time. Instruction is free, and a kit purchase is required. Kit prices vary. This a great way to learn this fun, fast technique called wool applique! Daytime or evenings available. Minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 people per class.
Willow Wood Market has a booth at Grandma's Attic Antique Mall on 3rd Street and Irvine Ave. in downtown Bemidji. In addition to the fun antiques and funky junk, we have a nice selection of wool in various sizes in our booth. We also have a few small wool applique kits. Stop by and check it out!
I do understand vacation and travel plans are somewhat set for people well in advance, and even though I don't have regular business hours, I do try to be in the shop on a more regular basis, especially during this pandemic. Before you make plans to come to the shop, please do email me or call me to make sure I will be around. I'd love for you to come to Willow Wood Market!
The shop is open if you would like to come and shop by appointment. I can comfortably have about 5 people in the shop at one time.
