***  Second Thursday of each month -  Wild and Wooly Women of Willow Wood!  It's free, and you can choose 1pm or 5:30 pm, whatever time fits your schedule.    If you have ever wanted to know more about stitching or playing with wool, this is a great place to come.   We have door prizes, refreshments, instruction,  and a whole lot of fun!  Bring your own project or purchase one from us.

** Willow Wood Market wool and patterns are coming to Grand Rapids, MN! ~ Starting May 1, we will have our wool and patterns at a new gift shop located on the second floor in the Old Central School called Dustables.  We will have a wonderful selection of both mill dyed and hand dyed wool and many of our patterns. Stop in and check it out if you are in the area.

NEW ARRIVALS and  FUN STUFF !

Field Notes by Blackbird Designs is a wonderful new fabric line we just got in. It features soft gray, green and red florals and fun little prints to coordinate.

WASHED LINEN ~ I have washed linen pieces with frayed edges that make perfect backgrounds for wall hangings and runners.  We have both natural and black in stock.

VINTAGE WOOL ~ I love the feel of old wool!  I have 8x8, 1/8 and 1/4 yard cuts of old blankets that I've  felted up and are ready to be used for your primitive and not so primitive projects. Some even have patches to add to their charm!  I have some great samples stitched up to inspire you...  The colors vary from army greens and cream to softer greens, pinks and peach.

I just got back from a few days of "junking" and found several yards of Harris Tweed wool. It's hand woven in the Hebrides, some islands off the coast of Scotland.  It felted up beautifully and I'll be had dying some of it as well. Let me know if you'd like some of it. When it's gone, it's really gone!

REUSE and REPURPOSE ~  I've collected old stuff for years. Some of the boxes, tins, stools, boards and such have some pretty big stains, and you should see the fun projects I've stitched up to jazz them up!  And... wait until you see what I've done with old jello molds and tin ceiling squares!  FUN, FUN! The ideas are endless!

We just started carrying Valdani hand dyed variegated size 8 pearl cotton.  The colors are gorgeous!  We will still have all the wonderful solid colors of DMC, but I thought it might be fun to offer the Valdani as well.

** We  carry  Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine in the shop!  It is full of wonderful projects from quilts to rug hooking.   The new spring issue just arrived. Call to reserve your copy  They are $10.00 per issue.  They have at least 15 projects in each magazine, and the ads feature fun places to shop and great pattern companies!  You will love it!

We have  several books by Need'l Love.  They all have wonderfully timeless projects.  There are 2 winter/Christmas ones, a great fall one, and a year round folk art flowers one.  They feature lots of wool projects as well as quilts, runners and wall hangings.

**We have  beautiful new wool in a great variety of shades arriving every week. They are perfect for rug hooking and applique as well as backgrounds.  All of the wool we sell is prewashed, so all you have to do is have fun stitching it!  I'm having all sorts of fun trying  new dye recipes!  They go perfectly with the new fabrics!
